I bought my first MAC single eyeshadow early 2016. I decided that I wanted to build my own MAC palette at last, and thought I’d use the better part of this year to do just that. Oh boy was I wrong.
It only took me a couple of months to finish my entire palette!
For quite some time I only bought neutral everyday shades – except for perhaps Amber Lights, which is in the middle of my palette, who is a peachy-brown. It’s lovely for blue eyes, and was among the first ones I bought.
A few weeks ago I bought the last two shades to go into my palette. I decided I wanted a pop of color, which is exactly what I told the sales associate. I went for Vibrant Grape and Red Brick. Most definitely the pop of color I was searching for!
If you remember the color wheel, you’ll see that orange is opposite blue, and purple is opposite green. My eyes is mostly blue, but can be green – it really depends. I choose these two so I can bring out either the blue or the green in my eyes. I love Red Brick subtly in the crease, it really makes the blue in my eyes pop.
Building your own MAC palette is so fun, and it’s become the palette I reach most for on a daily basis. I’m probably going to rearrenge my palette later on, and then I’ll do a more in-depth review of my palette with swatches of each shade.
I’m sure you all are having a hectic time with finals coming up – hang in there, it’s almost summertime!
