  • July favorites

I can’t believe July is already coming to an end! In just three weeks time another semester at the university is starting. During the month of July I’ve had a few favorites I’d like to evaporate a bit further on.

    July beauty favorites

    • Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Toning Shampoo – never before have I had so many people asking me what I’ve done to my hair. A violet shampoo basically neutralizes the yellow tones in your hair, over time making it cooler. It has made such a difference in my hair, finally getting me the color I desire.
    • Hair ties … With the heat I’ve been wearing my hair up a great deal, making the hair ties priceless. By far my most valued item this month.
    • Benefit Gimme Brow have been such a lifesaver this summer. During the summer I like to go for a light makeup look, and the Gimme Brow does just that. You can easily wear it on it’s own or on top of other brow products, it’s all up to you.

    • Pink lipstick! I don’t have one favorite that stood out from the bunch … I’ve been using Rimmel Kate Moss 101, MAC Please Me and Sephora Cream Lip Stain in 06 Pink Souffle to mention a few. Mostly paired with a pink shimmering lip gloss on top. For the lip gloss I’ve been using both Tanya Burr and YSL. I never thought I was much of a lip gloss girl, but this combination have been a real winner for me.

Moving on from my beauty favorites I have a couple of none-beauty favorites as well. First of all it’s Pokémon GO! I’ve been running around catching Pokémons a whole lot, and I’ve had so much fun doing so, meeting a lot of new people and experiencing strangers actually being polite to one another. It was amazing. My mom even started playing – being the most engaged in the game of us all.

I’ve also been doing some reading. I love a good book, it’s just that I never seem to take the time to do so. However, I’ve been reading some crime books this summer which I’ve truly enjoyed.

  • My MAC Eyeshadows Palette

I bought my first MAC single eyeshadow early 2016. I decided that I wanted to build my own MAC palette at last, and thought I’d use the better part of this year to do just that. Oh boy was I wrong.

It only took me a couple of months to finish my entire palette!

MAC eyeshadow palette fullFor quite some time I only bought neutral everyday shades – except for perhaps Amber Lights, which is in the middle of my palette, who is a peachy-brown. It’s lovely for blue eyes, and was among the first ones I bought.

A few weeks ago I bought the last two shades to go into my palette. I decided I wanted a pop of color, which is exactly what I told the sales associate. I went for Vibrant Grape and Red Brick. Most definitely the pop of color I was searching for!

If you remember the color wheel, you’ll see that orange is opposite blue, and purple is opposite green. My eyes is mostly blue, but can be green – it really depends. I choose these two so I can bring out either the blue or the green in my eyes. I love Red Brick subtly in the crease, it really makes the blue in my eyes pop.

Building your own MAC palette is so fun, and it’s become the palette I reach most for on a daily basis. I’m probably going to rearrenge my palette later on, and then I’ll do a more in-depth review of my palette with swatches of each shade.

I’m sure you all are having a hectic time with finals coming up – hang in there, it’s almost summertime!
